An easy, tasty matcha latte recipe
At upwards of $5 a cup, matcha lattes don’t come cheap. Good matcha lattes with quality matcha and an oat milk upgrade even less so.
We tinkered with ratios, different milks and sugars and eventually landed on what you see below. A refreshing cup of oat milk matcha latte which strikes a harmonious balance between deep matcha flavors, nice creaminess and just the right amount of sweetness.
Best of all? You don’t need any fancy or expensive equipment and it doesn’t require much time or skill.
Feel free to swap out the type of milk or sweetener, but we think that powdered brown sugar and oat milk go superbly with our matcha powder.
- 2 tsp of matcha powder
- 8 oz of oat milk
- 2 tsp of powdered brown sugar
- 3 drops of vanilla extract (optional)
- A pinch of salt
1. In a measuring jug, add sugar and vanilla to the milk and mix thoroughly. For mixing, we recommend a battery-powered whisk.
2. Add 2 tsp of matcha powder into the milk mixture and add a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until consistent in texture. Use the same battery-powered whisk.
3. Pour over ice and enjoy.
