Matcha Tasting Set - Blend J and K

Sale price$25.00 USD

Both blends are sourced from Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. You’ll receive 1 x 20g pack of Blend J and 1 x 20g pack of Blend K.

As these blends are stone-milled, it's important to sift the matcha as part of your preparation to ensure the smoothest texture and best flavour.

Blend J: A smooth, umami-rich matcha with deep, complex flavours, ideal for tea lovers. Slightly more premium than our Fragrant Yame Blend, it offers a balanced, rich taste.

Blend K: Perfect for lattes, with a bold umami that shines through, whether you use dairy or oat milk.

To purchase the sample, please click on "add to cart" and include your full mailing details at checkout. We'll mail out the samples to the address indicated in your order. You should receive them within 1 week. After trying them, we’ll reach out in 1-2 weeks for your feedback to help us improve future blends.

How to Enjoy "J" and "K" Blend Matcha

Both blends are higher grade matcha that are stone-milled.

  1. Please SIFT before enjoying, as the stone-milling process results in extra fine particles which tend to clump up naturally.
  2. REFRIGERATE after opening to preserve freshness, and try to finish it within 2 weeks of opening to make the most of the fresh flavours.
  3. WATER TEMPERATURE is important. The umami notes are extracted at 75-80 degrees celsius / 167-176 degrees Fahrenheit, and the bitter notes are extracted around 95-100 degree celsius / 203-212 degrees Fahrenheit. For best results, we recommend brewing using water between 75-80 degrees celsius / 167-176 degrees Fahrenheit.

Matcha that tastes good

Matcha is not just grassy and bitter. When you get the good stuff, all that goes away. Instead, you get a wonderful blend of flavor that moves through your tastebuds from roasty to mellow and sweet!

I appreciated Naoki Matcha’s aesthetic for one simple reason. They appeared to be a no-bullsh*t matcha company.

Meaning: they told it like it was, and provided all the necessary information about the products they offered.

Geoffrey, @lazyliteratus

Naoki Matcha has quickly become one of my favourite matcha vendors since I discovered them last year.

They are one of the few companies selling matcha on Amazon I would actually buy from.

Nicole @teaformeplease

I was thoroughly impressed with the care that Naoki had for matcha and their consumers experience.

The amount of resources available and versatile blends all create for a more informed consumer only which can only help with their matcha choosing.
