The difference in color, taste and smoothness were so different from other matcha I've purchased. The color is the first thing that stood out - so vibrant and green unlike the muted yellowish green of most other matcha readily available. I truthfully mean it when I say I’ve tried several other brands of ceremonial matcha. Naoki is one of the brands I keep coming back to. The tea every order is a fresh vibrant green and has a well rounded smooth taste. I prefer to make mine the non traditional way with oat milk over ice. I find the Planet Oat extra creamy tastes excellent with Naoki. If you prefer a stronger taste, you will want to add more matcha. I usually add 1 and 1/4 tsp.

This matcha is bright and smells deliciously earthy but I find the flavor very light and lacking any depth. It's definitely the type of matcha you'd use in lattes, cocktails, or desserts.
